Friday Fave Five

Good morning, everyone. I hope you all had a happy, festive Fourth of July! My week has been a strange one which began a nice lunch on Tuesday then went downhill after that. Stomach bug?  Gall bladder issues?   Who knows....but from Wednesday early morning until today I was not feeling very festive. But, in all things, we can always find something to be thankful for. Thanks to Susanne at Living to Tell the Story for giving us this spot each week.

1. Lunch with a friend: Barbara and I had our semi-monthly lunch on Tuesday. We met at Red Lobster this time and spent almost 3 hours together chatting and eating. I always love these times. This time, we remembered to take a photo.
Always fun.

2. Feeling betterI'll spare you the details but from Wednesday morning until yesterday around noon, I was not in the best of shape. Even sips of water made me run to the bathroom. By yesterday evening, I was eating an egg on toast and last night I got some good sleep. It was probably a "24 hour" bug but it was 24 hours too long!

3. This little guy:  They say cats can be indifferent to your needs, but Apollo hardly left my side the whole time I was sick. His usual sleep spot at night is at the foot of the bed but every time I tried to roll over in the bed, he was right there next to me. Not very convenient but I appreciated the sentiment.
Today, he's back to his window watching duties.

4. Blue eyes: I thought this was a cute photo that my granddaughter in love, Dawn put up on Face Book the other day. So many blue eyes! First Caleb, my grandson, then Dawn, followed by Ava and then Bella. I sure miss seeing them!

5. Celebrating ala Disney: When I lived in Florida, Disney World was my second home. Back then, the prices were more reasonable, Florida resident discounts were abundant, and I lived only 2 hours away. One of my favorite You Tube channels is Resort TV 1.  This channel is run by brother and sister, Josh and Jenna and they live stream from the resort frequently. Last night they did a live stream (a little over 7 hours long) from Epcot. It began at 5 pm and I sat with my chicken noodle soup, a mug of peppermint tea and celebrated with them. I rode rides and walked the pathways of the World Showcase. I called it quits at about 8:30, 30 minutes before the fireworks were to begin. After that, they planned on going over to Magic Kingdom. Even though my budget and the distance can no longer manage trips there, I still experience it through their video camera. They do a live feed every Friday night somewhere in the World.

The heat is continuing here in Tennessee although I understand we have a good chance of some rain showers this evening. I hope you are looking forward to a great weekend!
